Christina Haught MS, CPNP-PC

Christina Haught

My educational background includes earning an AS, BS and MS in nursing. I most recently completed my MS here at SUNY Upstate Medical University and became a board-certified pediatric nurse practitioner in 2021. I have been an RN for nearly a decade specializing in neonatology. I currently work in the NICU at Crouse Hospital in adjunct with my role here as the Student Success Specialist.

Through my own personal experiences in academia and nursing I have seen the challenges faced by students. That has led me on the journey of advocating and helping student nurses succeed. Through this program I hope to foster a welcoming, empowering, and supportive environment which improves your accessibility to the tools, support, and services needed to achieve personal, professional, and academic achievement during and beyond your time here at SUNY Upstate Medical University. Please reach out with any needs or questions you may have.

Best wishes & I hope to meet you soon!

Nichole Lopez, NP

Nichole Lopez, NP

My educational background includes an AAS, BS, MS, and DNP in Nursing. I am proud to say that I completed my BS, MS, and DNP degrees right here at SUNY Upstate Medical University. I am a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner with over twenty years of neurology experience and four years of academic experience as an Assistant Professor of Nursing. I am currently working as a Pre-Surgical Testing Family Nurse Practitioner, in addition to my roles here at SUNY Upstate Medical University as your Graduate Nursing Student Success Specialist and an Assistant Professor.

My experience in both academia and nursing has provided me the opportunity to see the various challenges faced by students. This led me to where I am today, here assisting all students to reach their fullest personal and professional goals throughout their graduate nursing journey. Through this program, I hope to foster a welcoming, supportive, and empowering community that improves access to support, tools, and services to promote success for everyone throughout the program and beyond. Please reach out to me with any questions or needs that you may have now or throughout the semester.
